Interesting to see "Diamonds" by Jet & Tony included. It's well known that Jimmy Page features on that recording, but I didn't know Big Jim also played on it.

I had long suspected - without anything like confirmation until now - that Big Jim played on the KPM library track Tom Tom Cat by "The Tom Cats". The guitar sound and style are very distinctive.

Still awaiting conclusive evidence that "The Tom cats" were The Krewkats.

Interesting theory... Licorice on bass?

Hi Bill,

Tom Tom Cat was composed by Charles Blackwell.
In the liner notes to the 2CD VAMPIRES, COWBOYS, SPACEMEN & SPOOKS (Castle Music, CMEDD1456, 2007)
he gives the line-up - if he remembers correctly - as:
‘Big’ Jim Sullivan (lead guitar), Eric Ford (rhythm guitar), Alan Weighall (bass guitar) and Andy White (drums).
So only one fourth of the Krew Kats.

Thanks, Ulrich. With the addition of pianist, Reg Guest, this group was referred to as the Nashville 5, playing regular sessions and radio work on the former BBC Light Programme.
