Anja, Rob's wife asked me to post this on her behalf. Rob was known here as Bor64. A splendid guitarist, and a strong supporter of our community. A sad loss.

Dear Members, my name is Anja and i am Rob "s wife,
With great sadnes i wanted to let you know that on friday morning my husband Rob died due his cancer ,
He did put up a fight but could not win.
I know that Rob loved the shadow music and if he could help he did ,
Please think of him as a true shadow man in his heart

Rob was an active contributor on ShadowMusic and it Is strange that we’ll have no more from him. Rob often mentioned Anja; we thank her now for letting us know and offer her our sympathy at this sad time.

So sorry to hear this. I remember spending time and eating pizza with a group of fans prior to a concert in London. Rob was knowledgable and forthright, and we are poorer with his passing.

I met Rob several times at Tilburg and remember him well. This is a sad loss to the Shadows community worldwide, but more especially to his family and close friends.

I'm desperately sorry and saddened to hear this news, though Rob confided his health problems to me through our emails and it was clear that the fight became more difficult over the last few months. RIP my friend and thank you for your continuous support.

This is indeed sad news. I didn't know Rob was ill. I met him at the backstage door of the Theatre Royal in Norwich, a couple of hours before The Shadows' show on May 15th, 2004, when we were there to meet The Shadows. It's not that long ago that Rob posted on this forum. R.I.P. Rob...
