Sadly, Ronnie James Dio has died.
He suffered stomach cancer for some time - in fact his planned gig in Lincoln late last year was cancelled at the last minute as a result of his deteriorating condition.
We saw him "live" at Sheffield Uni a year-or-so-ago after being fans of his recorded work for many years. He gave a truly memorable performance - what a character - what a voice!
Diminutive in physical size, yet a true GIANT of rock music.
R.I.P. Ronnie.
