Relocated to the Isle of Wight

Hi
Maureen and I have just relocated to the Isle of Wight :o and I am looking to form a working band or duo (on the island )playing quite often in the peak season .When we lived in Newport Pagnell we visited the Mid Anglia Club quite often so Shadows numbers together with instrumental music would play a large part but not all . Also to join an existing gigging band would be fine

I have been playing since the age of nine and now reached 52 (must buy a 52 relic now !!) and tasts of music are as follows

Shadows
Country
Function set lists
Blues
Jazz

If you live on the Island and are interested please send a private message

Ps a BIG HI to all at ST Neots and Mid Anglia

Nigel and Maureen :)

I know a bass player who lives on the island but then I think he's got some gigs coming up.

Hi Jay and Kay ,

Yes the move went great here in Cowes hope you are both well ,yes a band will surface and looking forward to the live scene again .

We will remember with fondness the Mid Angila club and all the members and friendship but personally your bass playing Rons drumming and Stephens playing will stand out as highlights ( not forgeting Anges rock cakes )

Take care keep it live best wishes to you all

Hi Nigel and Maureen,

Just picked this thread up.
Glad all is ok and wish you both every happiness on the IOW.

Unfortunately the Mid Anglia club folded due to lack of playing members and rising costs. However as Jay has said some of finest guitar playing was heard when you were on stage and that will not be forgotten.
Jay and I are in a Shadows tribute band called The Twylight Shadows and we have a website thetwylightshadows.webs.com so have a look.

Good luck in forming or joining a band, there are some websites that could help, which I am sure you are aware of.

All the best

Ron
