Hello Neil,
Do not be confused by the tempo, the opening sequence is all around D. The full orchestration tends to to give the impression that there are many more chords but you will find this with most Billy Fury numbers. I have played this number with my own band for many years.
Good Luck.

Hi Neil,
The two chords you are looking for are G6 and A6 and back down again to the 'D', if you play them both in the 3rd and 5th position respectively, (that is an 'F' shape formation) with your little finger on the 'b' string on the 5th and 7th fret respectively it works a treat.

Hello Tony,
Totally agree with your G6 and A6, after all these years I have revisited the original orchestration which shows D in the open sequence and a root D in the bass line, this does not change but the orchestra does move through G6 AND A6 just prior to the vocal with the bass maintaining a root D throughout.
Many Thanks and kindest Regards Neil.

Many thanks guys! I know it works with using the D all thro but my ears told me there were a few variations in there somewhere.
