Hello chaps.
Am doing a gig shortly and have been given a list of Shads/Cliff numbers and there are some I've never played.
So if possible I would like the chords for the following.
Big Boy
Some Are Lonely
See You In My Drums
Don't Make My Baby Blue.
Can anyone help please?
Email is jaylett@sky.com
Regards
John

Hi Tonnie

The chords for Big Boy and Some Are Lonely can be downloaded from here (just the chord changes - in Excel format - not the sheet music):

https://mega.nz/#F!BNkniaiC!6D_Ih-6M8fXYmt8mzKg6YQ

You must already have noted that there is no rhythm guitar on the record of See You In My Drums. The Shadows recorded that as a trio.

If you nevertheless wish to play a rhythm part, the chords are just too simple to worry about: a modified 12-bar blues in E with an added B section which runs:

A / / / A / / / E / / / E / / / B7 / / / B7 / / /

For Don't Make My Baby Blue, you'd need to know the key the singer proposes to use (not every singer can sing it in E, which is the key in which The Shadows recorded it).

The chords (in E) can be found here:

Hope this helps.

try using a program called Riffstation - - free for the first month - or about £19.00 to buy - You simply play any tune through there and it throws up the guitar chords as the tune is playing, plus you can print the chords out. It will also get rid of most of the lead guitar on shadows type instrumentals providing it is in the centre position thus making temporary backing tracks. The program does a lot more but i am only mentioning about the chords here

Dave,

I use Riffstation directly on its web site. I have not looked more deeply into it yet.

If you take up the free offer or buy it - is the application downloaded to your PC. Can you then use it offline?

I have found it very useful - however it seems that sometimes the indication of chord is not quite in sync with the music. Close enough for you to work it out. (75Mbit internet connection)
I was hoping that if its loaded on the PC the sync would be closer.
The additional facilities are similar to Audacity.
