Very sad. He was one of my heroes. I LOVED The Professionals.

He was for a time Bass player in the Liverpool Beat Band The Mojos, but after their short chart
successes in 1964.

R.I.P.

I also read somewhere that he was a drummer as well as a bass player and that he might have joined The Beatles ,who knows.

This picture of me was taken in 1983. At the time The Professionals was still on the box and massively popular and I was still labouring under the illusion (delusion?) that I was Lewis Collins. Sadly, these days I don't have enough hair at the front to have a 'Bodie' haircut and if I were to grow my sideburns now, they'd be grey (or maybe even white). And now Lewis has gone too.

Sad how things can change in 30 years.

Great pic of Bodie playing accoustic bass. No surprise that he chose to play the most macho version of stringed instruments.
Who is the guy next to him playing a six string? LoL

...Martin Shaw (better known now as Judge John Deed or Inspector George Gently. Currently in the West End in 12 Angry Men), Lew's co-star in The Professionals.

(Sorry, I suspect you knew that anyway!!)
