Joe Brown and Eddie Cochran

Hi All,
I read in 1 of my cds, that Joe Brown was classed as the UK's version of Eddie Cochran. I don't think this is a too bad comment, Eddie had 'Something Else' and Joe had 'That's what love will do'.
Joe played instrumentals such as 'Hercules Unchained' amongst others, whilst Eddie played 'Hammy Blues' amongst others. To my knowledge they were both session musicians, and i think both of their stuff is great, wish i could play like them. Does anyone play any of their stuff?

Ryan, as no one else seems to have noticed, can I respectfully point out that there is no E
at the end of Cochran !!!

Cheers
Mike

There is an E at the beginning and end of his first name "just like Eddie" only had two Es on his guitar probably thought that was enough for his name as well.

Hi Maurice,
Am i right in thinking 'Picture of You' is played with the chords of A, C, E, D? Sounds ok, but seems to sound a little off when i play along to the cd, i thought maybe he could have tuned his guitar a little sharp or flat! could just be me though :D
Cheers

Hi Bill,
I used to play 'English Country Garden' tune but i added my own song to it. My girlfriend slipped on the ice outside our house a couple of years ago and landed on her knee, which bruised quite badly. Now she's got a thing about knees being hurt, makes her feel all funny, so i made up some silly words about her falling to cheer her up. Now everytime she hears this tune, she is reminded of my silly version  It goes,
What do you do when your kneecap's turning blue, 'cause you fell on it, now it's in a funny place.
Your face is turning very green, suddenly you start to scream, somebody fetch me an ambulance
and so on, there were a few verses, she didn't find it very funny at first, but she can remember most of the words better than i can.

Hi Ryan,

Yes you are right but the middle section uses Dm and Cm and also F~m, I've got the chords and words somewhere
if you want them.

Maurice.
