Unchained Melody

Hi All,
I love Gene Vincent's version of 'Unchained Melody', along with The Righteous Brothers, this is one of my favourites. Such a wild singer, he can sing it so softly. The guitar break in it, sounds great, was this by Cliff Gallup? or was it made after he left The Blue Caps? If so, who was the guitarist?
I know Jeff Beck is a big fan of both Gene Vincent and Cliff Gallup, he did a tribute cd called 'Crazy Legs' with The Big Town Playboys. The singer on this was Mike Sanchez, who is great to see live, in his own right. Isn't it funny how you don't seem to find many tab books/backing tracks, of Cliff Gallup's style when he has been such a great influence over the years.

Talking of great versions of this song, Cliff and the Shads did an excellent version themselves. Their version was different from all the others, just concentrating on the beauty of the melody, without any histrionics.

Just spotted this one.....Gene's version of Unchained Melody was excellent.....I did a BT for a vocalist and have just posted my instrumental version using the same backing on the Sound files forum...
