Very sad to hear today of the passing of Lynsey de Paul.
I had the great pleasure (and it WAS) of meeting her and interviewing her last year for a forthcoming TV documentary - yes, the same one for which I interviewed Francis Monkman, Alan Hawkshaw and Brian Bennett.
She was one of the nicest, warmest and most hospitable people I have ever met and it was with great shock that I received the news this morning that she has gone.
RIP and thanks.

And here are a couple of pics taken last year. You'll notice her eyes glazing over in the second picture - I'm afraid I have that effect on most women. She was a good sport though, allowing me to abuse her piano like that! As I say, a truly lovely person whom I'm glad I got to meet. RIP.

If those pix are recent, she retained her looks! Wiki gives her final age as 66 years.
I only remember her from the TV, but I hope she did not suffer at the end. RIP.

Thanks.
The pictures were taken during the summer of 2013.
Yes, she was amazing. We sat in her kitchen and ate salad sandwiches that she'd made for us. Not something you expect to happen!! It was indeed a privilege.
And I can confirm that the camera does NOT lie. She was as flawless in person as she is in the pictures.
By the way, she spoke very highly of Brian Bennett, Alan Hawkshaw and Francis Monkman, you'll be pleased to know.
She will indeed be missed.
