Wish me Luck, folks...

Four week's ago I had an 'all-nighter' at a fellow Shadows fan's house. Stupidly, without knowing how, er, potent it was, I drank two big bottles of champagne. Had a good night, but the words have not yet been invented to describe how ill I was the next day. I suffered. It was pure hell. Never again.

Fast forward a month and we're having another one tonight! An evening and night of Shadows music and a few other things - Brian Bennett's 'Drama Montage' is on the agenda, as are some Shadows live recordings, hopefully some Marvin, Welch and Farrar and maybe a bit of Sky. And, I have no doubt, a few surprises! I have promised myself that I shall not be overdoing it again! Far too old now for all that!

Looking forward to it. If the music's too loud, just tell us to turn it down!

Blimey! Can't believe it!!! It's half eleven and.... NO HANGOVER!!! Not even a slight headache. Weird!!!

Fell asleep in the chair at about half four. Went to bed at about seven. Woke up at about ten. Feelin' fine!!!!

Maybe I'm NOT too old for all this after all...

A good night too. Plenty of Shads (the Shadows in the '70s CD). Both MWF albums. A Sky compilation album. Brian Bennett's 'Drama Montage' and a Shads double live album to close proceedings. I hope the next door neighbours enjoyed it as much as we did. I'm sure they did. (The police didn't come knocking on the door this time, so they must have!)

Drink plenty of water, too!!! That was where I must have gone wrong before. Never too old to learn!!!!
