Not really Shads related but I have just returned from San Fransisco and I saw a guy called Bob Culbertson playing one of these things outside the HR cafe. Absolutely awesome!! Two handed tapping like I have never seen before.

I must confess I had never heard of the stick before  but it has been around for a while. I was so impressed with his playing I parted with $20 for a CD of his  He plays all styles and has played with Robben Ford and Santana amoung others.

As I said at the top, not Shads related , but if you appreciate musical prowess check him out on YouTube.

Have a look on YouTube at Tony Levin playing the Chapman Stick. Amazing

He is probably best known for playing with King Crimson in the 80s but has also done many sessions in places like Nashville with the likes of say Nanci Griffith - not what you would expect.
