New marketing idea?

I don't know whether this is known in UK but here in France a new brand of electric guitar string is being promoted . Known as 'Buddy six', they are being sold in tobacconists and paper shops!! A good idea when you consider that music shops are few and far between outside of big cities (our nearest is 45 miles away)

Good marketing? what do you think?

What's the selling price?

Are they available in various gauges?

How do they feel, sound and stay in tune?

I think that's a brilliant idea – but at least 15 years too late! With online buying so simple and (often) cheaper, the proximity of a music shop isn't as important as it used to be for buying such basic items as strings.

It sounds a good idea but there's probably strings attached.

Look here : http://sixbuddy.com/

There are no resellers very near from where I live, so I haven't been able to check the prices.

The image of a guitar player used on the string package looks somewhat familiar, is that Chet Atkins ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsjZz62osFA
