I don't know if we have any members who live in the Congleton area but Past Masters have acquired a date at The DANESIDE THEATRE on Saturday April 2nd where we will be performing our variety music show 'LET'S ROCK THE JUKEBOX' which includes music from The 50s through to the 80s with a lot of guitar stuff in there from The Shadows, Duane Eddy, John Barry Seven et al and many classic hits from Elvis to The Beatles through to Matt Monroe. We haven't ventured that far west before so it would be good to see some of you there. :)

Will be there Dave - if you remember some time ago I recommended the theatre to you when you were looking to do a few gigs with the Rapiers!

I do remember Neil and I looked into it but at the time I knocked it back because of the expensive overheads. However the lads have decided to take a chance after our success filling Harrogate theatre and our up coming City Hall (Memorial Hall) in Sheffield amongst others, it's the only way if you are to establish a healthy nationwide circuit. We're finding that the audiences are there once they've seen the show, we do OK regarding folks passing on the word of recommendation. I sometimes wish we had taken this step a few years ago. Tickets won't be available for a week or two. :)

I have copied your post onto the Congleton Guitar Club site, and I will email all our local members as well.
Please let us know when and where tickets will be available.

I will Paul, I was told they were ready for sale this week, hence my mention of it here, but it isn't the case.
I will let you know as soon as I hear and we sincerely appreciate your support. Watch this space as they say. :)

The Daneside events are usually advertised in the local paper "Congleton Chronicle" and tickets are sold at the tourist information at the Town Hall. If you let me have details a few weeks before I can get a mention in the"Chronicle" for you!

Cheers Neil, any help is appreciated, I could do with knowing the local radio stations in that area too. :)

The nearest one that covers Congleton area is Radio Stoke or Signal Radio. We did have a more local one but it folded!
