"New" member hello

Having just made my first comment on this site after lurking for many months, I thought I'd better say hello.
I’m a big Shadows and instrumental fan in general. Unfortunately the covers band I’m in, The DB5s, whilst 50s/60s orientated, haven’t agreed to do any instros yet. It will change!
I’ve met Jim Nugent of this parish at the Livorno Surf Joe festival in the summer…a couple of Brits, sweating it out with a beer in the shade…and I’ve encountered Steve Reynolds commenting on an old schoolfriend’s FB page.
I was supposed to be at The Shadows event at Lakeside tomorrow, but unfortunately a family birthday has been moved, plus in the evening I’m expected to do some “marketing” of The DB5s at a Billy Fury tribute act in Streatham.
Anyway, hello everybody.
And if anyone is interested my gear is: Vox Valvetronix VT80+, Fender Classic Series 60s Strat, Squier Jaguar modded with Fender 65s, Burns 80s Double-Six…and a Zoom MS70CDR for all the little tricks.
