If you buy Stationary Traveller on CD, Pressure Points appears as a bonus track, but I think it's the studio version.

Chris Rea - apparently one of the nicest guys in the business and not feeling too well at the moment. Needless to say... a Hank and the Shads fan!

And needless to say, 'get well soon'.

I think most people would pronounce Chris`s name as Re-a but he comes from the north east and they pronounce it sounding like Ray there is a transport company called the same ,a HGV driver called them that way.

I clearly remember Chris Rea suffering pancreatic cancer around 15 years ago and having a large part of his gut removed. He then disowned his part in the rock business and embarked on a series of blues albums. He suffered a stroke last year...goodness knows how he got health insurance for his current tour. Having said that...I wish him well!

Interesting. Ray is what I would guess if confronted with the need to say Rea. Does anyone know how Chris himself says it? That would be the "right" way in his case.

Roy Wood uses a red Strat on stage. He has said his Father took him to see the Shadows in Birmingham when he was 12. He was knocked out by Hanks sound and that's what got him in to music!

I met Nick (Chris's brother) in Dublin not too long ago,he's a really nice bloke, anyway after the red strat story (he lent Chris the money to buy it)..I asked (tongue in cheek) Did anyone ever call Chris "dia" as a nickname ? He replied "that was my nickname, his was "gonner" and he pronounced it as "rea" as opposed to "ray". On that occasion Nick was stage manager for the faithless and I was bringing him to the airport the following morning.
