https://youtu.be/21dmCiXOtwI This may seem to be a strange topic to post ,but in 1966 Bob Dylan was one of the last people to use The Aust Ferry before it closed and before the Severn Bridge was opened .I believe this was the tour that Bob was booed by audiences for using electric instruments and having a backing band .The photo is interesting and would make a good album cover and perhaps being called " Aust Ferry Revisited".

A few years later, BBC-TV did a programme from a Welsh pub entitled 'Poems and Pints'
A Welsh bard recited his Ode To The Severn Bridge:

"Two nations now united
Across the great divide
And all the tolls collected
(pause)
On the English side!"

Still...

...now that the tolls on the Skye Bridge have been abolished and those on the Severn Bridge toll are due to be reduced then abolished, it cannot be long before the same happens to the Dartford Crossing (which was supposed to have been made free some years ago, though that deal was welshed on by a minister by the name of Ladyman).

What is it with Dylan fans? He used electric instruments on his records, so why not on stage? Also, the Dylan USP, as far as I know, is that he gave a unique live performance every time.

Thanks for the replies to my posting ,Bob Dylan started out just singing and playing acoustic guitar and harmonica so when he moved on it did upset the purists ,a similar thing happened with Paul Simon who started up with a basic setup and progressed to other things .I don`t suppose Bob Dylan was famous enough to open The Severn Bridge so they got The Queen to do it instead.
