... a song that goes way back to 1949 and performed by many artistes over the decades: Vaughn Monroe, Bing Crosby, Frankie Laine, Burl Ives, Marty Robbins, The Ramrods, Johnny Cash, Eddy Arnold, Peggy Lee, Gene Autry, Elvis Presley, The Ventures, The Spotnicks, Frank Ifield, Tom Jones, Duane Eddy, Debbie Harry, The Outlaws (brilliant) and of course, The Shadows. This is the original by the composer.

...don't forget the amazing version by The Scorpions (Ted and John Barber and Ivor Knight) which I first heard on the Instrumental Gems LP on the EMI NUT label...

Come to think of it, Jet does a version on his 'inside' live album from 1977, and I think he may have demoed it in the studio too at about the same time.
