Had to order this!

Just HAD to order this. It costs £19.63 and, by a bizarre coincidence, not only was I born in 1963, but it is released two days before my birthday. So it seemed like fate!

P.S . They are re-releasing on vinyl several other KPM library albums, including others by Hawkshaw and Bennett.

What a happy coincidence indeed. Do you have all of the Shadow music on vinyl, Drakula?

No. The first LP of theirs that I bought was 20 Golden Greats in 1977. The first single was Love DeLuxe in 1978. Since then I've acquired MOST of the 1960s and 70s albums on vinyl, but not all. I think I have all the 1970s singles on vinyl and a few of the 1980s. The only 1980s Shads albums that I have on vinyl are Change of Address and At Their Very Best. The albums were mostly presents at Christmas or birthdays. I've certainly got a big box full, mostly from my original purchase and quite a few from ebay! Among my most prized are a signed copy of Hank's 'Words and Music' from 82 and all of Brian's solo albums from the 60s and 70s. I'm still after the original Japanese only gatefold of The Shadows Live in Japan 1969, but they cost a small fortune! I have, of course, got the single disc LP version.

I have a photo taken in 1979, which shows all my Shads LPs up to that point...
