OK not part of a song lyric but in a similar vein. When I was about four or five we were taught a prayer. For years I always thought one line was “Let the petrol light shine upon them” However it should been “Let perpetual light shine upon them”

:-)

I also remember "Hail Mary, full of grace, blessed art thou, a monk swimming...".

At three years of age at the local school-connected nursery, I already had a picture in my mind's eye of a monk, dressed in his habit and cowl, swimming in a long, narrow body of water that looked like a Scottish loch or a Norwegian fjord, surrounded by hills that rolled down to the shore.

Even now lyrics websites don't tell me what the Ronettes sing in 'I Wonder'. Sounds like 'stars go cheap' to me. Any ideas?

Also on Herman's Hermits 'Silhouettes': 'Let me in or I'll beat down your door' sounds like, 'Let me in or I'll wee down your door.'

In the Sky Boat song " Larry the Lamb who's born to be King!" Well I'm sure that's what my daughter's choir sang last night!!

was 'Hey there, Rodrigo'.

We used to do this song years ago and always sang "hey where did we go"!

Paul Simon - Graceland, "As if I'd never noticed the way she brushed her hair and farted".

Maybe I worded it wrong but yes, that's what it is. She thought it was "Hey there Rodrigo"
