Dave Berry & The Cruisers new guitarist at Gillingham . . .

Just like to mention that Daniel Martin makes his debut as a 'Cruiser' tonight with Dave Berry in Gillingham.
The reason for this is that since Dave started doing the Silver Sixties tours without The Cruisers, the members of the band have found alternative bands in which to play and can't guarantee that they are always available for Dave's one nighters, so The Cruisers are now chosen from a 'squad' and Daniel was added to the squad a few weeks ago like myself. I joined up with The Cruisers and did the Lincoln Showground in September on a bill with The Tremoloes and thoroughly enjoyed it after all those years.
I'd like to wish him all the best and from what I've heard in rehearsal he'll nail it no problem. It's good for Daniel to get out of the rut of playing Shads music and the experience will be valuable and may help him move on and earn a living in the business.
Anyone down in Kent might wish to go along and offer support, though I don't have details of the gig it may be advertised in the local press.
Sorry Danny, had to mention it - enjoy :)

Not a single mention of this Gillingham gig on the internet.

Could it have been Gillingham's namesake (if not homophonic) town in Dorset?

I couldn't find it either, I just expected it to be on Berry's gig list on his website, but it just says 'Gillingham.
I'll get to know on Saturday.

Well done Daniel. I was delighted to hear this was coming up when we met at Warwick and I wish you every success. The more stuff you play, and the more people you play it with, the more you will develop as a musician.

Cheers - Iain

Is it OK to be homophonic these days?
