This is our first meeting of 2016, visitors and new members are welcome.
South West Shadows Club is for those who enjoy playing or listening (you don't have to play) to Shadows/style music with some 50's/60's music and "Rock n' Roll" for good measure!
The club has:- 2 x Vox AC30 amps,Hall and Collins signature echo, Hartke bass amp, Ashdown acoustic guitar amp, Sound desk with CD, mini disc player and jacks for ipad/smart phones, PA, monitor speakers, microphones and drums. Just bring your guitar or bass.
Members can play to backing tracks, band sets or both. We mix and match the band sets on the day from members who would like playing as part of a group. There is no pressure or formal band member structure, which allows players of mixed ability to gain experience and comfortably fit in.
Experienced player or novice, we have a friendly atmosphere and all that is required is to,enjoy yourself.
Our well appointed and comfortable venue is on the western outskirts of EXETER at Kennford which is near the southern end of the M5 and is on the A38. Access is from either direction. There is ample free parking and the hotel has a restaurant and bar which also provides bar snacks.
