OK, chaps,

The First Wednesday of September is next Wednesday - the first of the month. We hope to be welcoming David and June back!

Also, in response to various enquiries made, I'll have my Gretsch 6122 there - now newly fitted with hand-made TV Jones "TV Classic" pickups - properly-built and sourced replicas of the original USA Filtertrons, made with the best of materials and miles better than the Japanese versions supplied with the guitar.

Real definition on the low strings - just wait till you hear it!

I have to admit that I'm not familiar with TV Jones pickups, nor the difference, therefore.

Would it be possible to make an A/B comparison?

Perhaps you could play your first numbers with them fitted, then swap them over during the break, and play your second set with the originals...........

Well... as it happens, I'm probably not going to be able to get to SMSE on Wednesday, since I simply have to be at a different event from 19:00 onward.

But...

Spencer will hold the fort (don't forget to pay him, folks!) and I may be able to put in an appearance later in the evening.

One-off event... local politics... can't be helped...

Hope to be there later on - and if I can, it'll be great to see Bob and particularly to see David and June.
