Hello everyone
If you look closely on YouTube
On YouTube that sound
You see in front of the echo unit
An black knob on the place
Where normally the echo knob
Should be
Any ideas what this modification is
Let me know
Kind regards
Mannes

That could possibly be the 'Talent' knob.

But seriously, no modification is going to suddenly achieve 'That Sound' on a machine that Hank possibly only recorded with once (Flingel Bunt) and that was in the Burns era when the sound was anything but what I imagine you're looking for. The sound comes from the amp, although I can hear some magic from my Meazzi Echomatic when used, but the core sound still exists without the Meazzi. Try not to take it too seriously, I don't any more. :)

What I do I remember about his sound was the Boss graphic EQ that he used to lose the unwanted bass and clean up his tone,
that's all you need really if using a Vox amp. You can experiment with a graphic by removing all the bottom end out up to about 200hz and boost the mids at 800 upwards as well as reducing the high treble from 3.5k upwards. Hank's sound that we all refer to as 'That Sound' is largely in that area. you'll find it if you try. ;)
