Oh yes, nothing wrong with a Burns, very versatile.

I sometimes use a Burns Rostill bass for rock'n'roll gigs and it works well across the styles - looks good too!

HI
Just joined the site.
I see there is a lot of discission on the site about the BURNS BLACK BISON 4pick up guitar.
I have owned an original Bison 4 pick up for some time.
I had the guitar overhauled by Jack Golder when he was at Romford in his work shop at Gallows Corner.
The guy who rechecked all the wiring was named Kieth Wastell ,an expert in this field.
You can check out the sound of this guitar on my website WWW.MYSPACE.COM/ERICOHENRIT.
You can also find me on various sites in GOOGLE Search.

Great site this for SHADOWS fans terrific info'

Think not intresting at all, and not great playing.

Guess about 9800million guitarists could play like "That" with Fender,Gibson e.t.c.

I should say Hank Marvin didn't play like "That" with Burns.

Please remember "Don't Make My Baby Blue" on 2004'sTour DVD.

I love melodious guitar solos like Hank's.

I couldn't play guitar like "That" any more. And I hate "That-Burns-Sound" !

That was only a "Terrific noise "to me.

So sorry for my poor English and a radical opinion.

Great regards

eugene

I liked it and thought the playing was better than I could do. More Ben than Hank though!

Well it takes all sorts... I LOVE the original early Shads sounds - pre Wonderful Land, and I also love that chewy, compressed, dry, nasal Burns sound too...

"One man's meat is another man's poisson"

(For those of you whose first language is not English... this is a joke!)

Just goes to show what versitile guitars Burns are ;) , nothing wrong with a bit of rock and overdrive a few more modern bands should use them after seeing this .After all look what Hendrix did with the Strat, a million miles away from Apache etc . Great playing as well for that style of music :)

Cheers
