I've been experimenting with my POD 2 in an attempt to get 'That Sound' and still don't think I'm quite there. Anyone got any settings that work well?
I'm using the 'Brit Class A' setting - obviously! - and the only effect I have on is Compression. I'm not using Delay because I have a DL4 for that.
Come to think of it, can anyone offer some useful settings for the DL4 too?

First, let me qualify my reply - I am not an obsessive 'That Sound' person: However; I DO get good tones for Shads material by setting my Pod X3 Pro to model an AC15, using two choices:
DRIVE: 48
BASS: 84 45
MID: 87 100
TREB: 96 82
PRES: 49 00
I use these tones with a couple of Strats, a Masterbuilt Custom Shop '56 NOS and an American Vintage '57 reissue. A pro sound engineer recently complemented me on my Shads tone although, as I said, I haven't set out to get anything other than a nice tone for that material.
I should add that my chain is:
Quad GT
Pod X3 Pro
Bose L1 Compact

Thanks for that Noel, unfortunately the POD 2.0 isn't the same as the X3, it's just a line of knobs like on a normal amp.
If you imagine each knob as a clock face, my current settings are:
DRIVE - 9
BASS - 12
MID - 1
TREBLE - 12
CHANNEL VOLUME - 2
REVERB - 9
EFFECT TWEAK - 12
AMP MODEL - BRIT CLASS A
EFFECT - COMPRESSOR.
Anybody with a POD 2.0 got any other ideas?
