I had a call from Mike yesterday. He was taken ill with severe stomach pain on Saturday last. He had a blue light ride to Tunbridge Wells hospital and has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. He was calling from the ITU.

Mike you said that you wanted a ride with blue lights flashing,or was that the
other vehicle that has blue lights. You will have to ask John about that one.

I spoke to Mike this morning (Friday) and have passed all your messages to him. He thanks everyone for their kind thoughts. He is still in ICU and his diagnosis hasn't changed. He sounded fairly perky under the circumstances, but says he needs a shave and a haircut.

Thank you all for the card and the kind words.
I'm out of hospital and staying at my partner Raye's in Tonbridge.
Very little energy at the moment, but gradually feeling better.
I tried playing guitar yesterday, but had to give up after about 15 minutes with back pain!...no bum notes though!???
If I'm up to it I'll try to get to August meet.
