Hearing this news over the last couple of days has really cheered me up, I am so pleased for Jet to recieve this, it has come at the right time and gives him something to focus on in this new decade, I spoke with Jet yesteday and he said he is not going to wear a monkey suit at the Palace, but he said at least the top hat would make me look taller, LOL..........Congratulations Jet, and not forgetting Janet for all her support she has given Jet over the last few months of his ill health, she has been a wonderful comfort and partner, well done Janet........

Jet deserves this honour he has been an inspiration to all Bass Players, and no one can quite play those riffs the way he does, his input to the
early Shadows music was so valuable.

Well deserved and long overdue. Recognition at long last for the consummate bass guitarist. The Shadows recordings in the early classic years with the rythym section of Welch, Harris and Meehan highlight what a tight edgy unit they were with Jet to the fore.
