Green Day

Postby anniv 63 » 05 Jul 2017, 16:17

On last nights local Glasgow News programme, it was reported that American Rock
Band Greenfly , sorry Greenday had pulled the plug at 2pm for their evening gig at
Glasgow Green(open air).
Yes it was raining, but they had a covered stage, so no problem there.
Seems however that a Facebook message coming from the band itself said some of their
gear was not to their liking or was missing (this message was apparently deleted soon after
not to upset some superfans who had travelled from across the globe)
Ah well fans, always the pub, and a ticket refund , forget the airfare etc
Maybe they should have called Greenflag Breakdown!!!
Example of gullible fans being ripped off?

My source tells me that the stage was tilted quite badly.

Actually Green Day are renowned for treating their fans well. It's easy to blame the band but in this case it seems the decision to cancel was not theirs.

I stand corrected on my original posting. Certainly the Health & Safety issue
was not given on original news bulletin I mentioned,
