The one Paul Simon wouldn't let Hank add to his "Marvin Mastertracks" album.
Hope you like Sound of Silence.

Very interesting Phil. Liked that. Had some problem though halfway through the recording freezes for whatever reason. I like the Macaferri? bit too, gives a nice contrast 8-)
Nice bit of editing work you put into that too.
Hugh.

Excellent recording Phil. Some parts of that must have been very tricky but you played it very well indeed.

I'm puzzled by your reference to Paul Simon not letting Hank add this to his "Marvin Mastertracks" album because that track is on there (or have I lost the plot ? !)

My word Phil - that is SOME co-incidence!! There I was plugging away at this little devil of a tune and I thought I'd take a break and pop on the Furum - and there you are!!
Magnificently played - by both of you. There is far more to this HBM version than meets the eye (or fingers) at first appraisal.
And - getting the lifts, bends and drops all in the right places is an art form in itself and yours are expertly placed.
Superb!!

ps - Phil is not wrong. Apparently Paul Simon wouldnt allow the BT to be put up on Hanks Mastertrax as he feared that lesser mortals might make a Pigs Ear of his Work. How vain is that!!!

PS - Rog - your probably confusing Hanks "Marvin At The Movies" album with the BT album - "Mastertrax".

Many thanks Hugh, Roger and Ian for your replies.

Hugh - the most likely cause of freezing on Youtube videos is that it's streaming as it goes along - just wait for it to catch up or drag the play marker back a bit while it carries on streaming.

The Video editing was down to son Andrew, but I did watch him do it so that counts for something

Really don't know why Paul Simon wouldn't let Hank use his Marvin at the Movies BT for his Mastertracks album.
I've had this BT for years but honestly cant remember where it came from. A bit like that Sleepwalk BT which was a freeby with a magazine I think.
If anyone could enlighten me that would be good.

Cheers Phil

Phil
the BT is by Jens Varmlose. He deserves an Oscar for a BT SO close to the original.
