I was checking the New Year's Honours List today just to confirm my sadness that I had been overlooked yet again (sadness being perhaps the right word!) and noticed that a John Rostill had been awarded the OBE. Ironic given that Jet has been awarded his MBE in the same list. This John Rostill is however a Chief Exec of an NHS Trust and not a bass guitarist, unilke the late and still much missed JR of the Shads. Haven't however spotted a Sir Licorice yet.
But many congrats again to Jet - we all hope so much that your health continues to improve in 2010 and that you will soon be back on stage where you belong.
