TO SIR WITH LOVE-New Version

This one came about when noodling with a few chords and then realising that they were the verse from To Sir With Love. Music written by Mark London, lyrics by Don Black for the 1967 film.

Anorak note 1 - Currently the only Single release by a UK Artiste to have reached No1 in the USA but been uncharted here, probably as it had been demoted here to the 'B' side of "Lets Pretend" and so not classified. Bizarre!.

Anorak note 2 - Lulu was one of the first modern day singers to use Melisma (that Whitney/Maria style vocal warble) in her singing style. You can hear it in the original.

This is dedicated to the best English Teacher in the world, my 3rd, 4th and 5th Form English teacher at Secondary School in the 60's, Mr Don Cooper, whose love and passion for the delights and vagaries of the English language and its Literature was infectious and I caught the disease. Lol! God Bless you, Sir.

So here is a new Arrangement what I wrote. The BT, available on request, was created in my BandInABox. Sorry for the short Fade Out - Mistake in final editing!! Ooops!!

Really excellent, I just inquired about Band in a Box, I did not know exactly what he could achieve automatically so if I understood correctly apart from your lead guitar all the accompaniment is done automatically after having selected the chords and instruments

Thanks you for your kind feedback.
I dont want to sound as if I'm advertising BandInABox but essentially you are correct - you choose a Style from its Library which has specific instruments allocated for it (or make a bespoke one up like this one), type in the chords into the grid, choose different instruments if the ones in the Style you have chosen are not quite right and away you go. Thats a simplistic version of what I do - the reality is that I do get up to all sorts of little "trick" in the software to enhance the final result.

Hi Jim and Roger - thank you for your find response.
There are few nice twists in the melody to make it worthwhile as an Instro. The Key is C but when the Chorus comes in it goes to a B7 chord and then to Key of D before getting back to C. Then I moved the second chorus UP a semitone by using a C7 to make the change etc etc. All jolly good fun.
BB handles these things effortlessly - make me look good ! lol!
