Hi Kurt,
Thankyou for your comments, when we played this at Shadowmania, 2 times i think, i always played the first verse on the bridge , 2nd on the middle , then back to bridge at the end , which sounded great and Bruce never said anything contrary to this but i think now after much listening and comparisons it could have maybe been the neck ,as on this version which i have played on throughout, its one of those numbers that sounds close on either, doing this i tried to replicate Hanks tone on the record, i think it does sound fairly close, maybe having the edge on the bridge ? who knows, good to hear from you Kurt,
Regards,
Phil.

Hi Phil

I liked your version of 'The Breeze and I'. Very well done. I barely noticed at first that it does predominantly come from the left channel. It would probably be good if you could correct it sometime. However, not withstanding this, it is an excellent rendition. Your timing was impeccable and the sound from your guitar great. Probably the closest to The Shadows version that I have heard, or can remember at least.

Cheers

Brilliant Phil!! Can't tell the difference! When I play this tune the closest sound I can get is with the neck pickup, however it all comes down to a whole bunch of factors like type of pickups, amp, echo and settings I guess. But then again you do have the right gear and your sound is fabulous, as is your playing!
Cheers CC

Sounds great in stereo, Phil....just enough to add a touch of 3dimentionality to the sound. ;)
Love the sound of the neck pickup. It creates a full sound and makes it easier to tell what positions you're playing in during the song.

Hi Phil

Excellent sound and great playing Phil. The castenets sounded sharp and clear and the echo sounded just right. I enjoyed hearing it.

Brilliantly played Phil, as we have come to expect from you.

Will you be going to the Verden show in October this year?
