Iron Gear, Pig Iron pickups

Postby RUSSET » 31 Oct 2019, 08:26

I had not heard of these pickups until a mate of mine sent me this message. He is child of the '60s & fully knowledgeable of the early Shads music, which he plays. He sent me this message recently.
I have IronGear PIG IRON Overwound pickups in my 'Biffy' to get a bit more poke from the bridge and from memory they too have the Alnico mix of III & V magnets.
He means the Squier CV Simon Neil Strat when he mentions 'Biffy', for those who don't know.

Just putting it out here for the interest of any pickup junkies. Here's the website link : http://irongear.co.uk/irongear_pickups_009.htm

Tony.
