MV50 Headphone/Line Out - Which Plug

HI all,

Ok the Mv50 has a headphone / line output socket. BUT which plug do you use for line out- Mono or stereo?
I note the resistance between the left and right with a stereo jack plugged in is only 0.9 Ohm which gives me the impression that if one uses a mono jack the shaft will short the signal - effectively totally.
I don't want to blow this up.

So does anyone know if you need to use a stereo Jack and take one output (Left or Right) or if when a mono jack is plugged in that is ok?

I wish the people writing the manuals would do a complete job.
