Excellent, faultless arrangement and rendition of Dominique - I remember the original sung version of this, by nuns. When I went to our local youth club as a lad, the Parish Priest always asked for this to be played - he loved it.

That's a great version of an instro originally recorded by our Kiwi guitar icon Peter Posa in 1968.
Thank you for posting it.

It took me a little while to recognise the original melody from the Singing Nun, I thought it was a different tune! Great playing by you all there, what a great instrumental.

A very Happy New Year to you all,

When the original record came out, I was in the second year at a Catholic grammar school, and although we had been doing French for over a year by then, none of us could make out the lyric, apart from bits like tout simplement, pauvrais chantant and il ne parle que du bon Dieu.

It was the coming of the internet which enabled the mystery to be solved...

That's excellent. Great fun!
I wish your version had been available back in 1963. Knowing my dad, he might have bought it instead of inflicting the Singing Nun on his children!
