Try it yourself---double track with 2 echo's running--just experiment for God's sake.
Well my internet service has been down for four days otherwise I would have responded earlier, but it has at least given me time to calm down a little.
I could (and do) experiment until the cows come home but asking Peter for specific information seemed the quickest and most sensible option.
But unless you wrote your last sentence without thinking first as to how it might sound, I wonder why you thought it necessary to come back with such a seemingly hostile and rude response, given it wasn't actually directed to you in the first place? Your evident irritation should be directed elsewhere if you're having an off day - please find someone else to have a poke at if you feel an overpowering urge.
So, to
Peter:
I've tried combining my Magicstomp echoes with variations of those buit into my TonelabST, plus its stereo reverb in order to blend the sound further and it's not too bad but I don't seem to get the glassy smoothness of your methods. I'm not too technically favoured so please bear with me for what may seem a silly question: I don't quite follow your "
carefully add a single (different) tap echo with no feedback to the left and right of the stereo track....".
I'd always assumed 'feedback' was the duration of echo or sustain but maybe I've misunderstood the terminology. Are you adding these echoes to the recordings after playing dry? I was hoping to simulate the sounds live, whilst playing and you say you're using the Flextone on stage so how do you play twin tracks together with differing echoes assigned to each?
Thanks for your patience.
Kind regards,
Martyn
Quick update: just been reading reviews of the Flextone 111 Plus range and I presume, it being a stero amp, it allows you to allocate different echoes to each channel?
