Bob Dylan I believe is a great lyrics/metaphor writer. His voice and melodies maybe not so hot though, so it was surprising he managed to write this song, given it's bog standard but nicely put together verse/chorus ballad.

I believe the first version of this was by Billy Joel, but of recent Adele/Michael Bolton (his BT)/ Amy Whitehouse etc versions.
Thought I could make an instrumental out of it.
