FRIGHTENED CITY (sample) with my new band.

Hi All,

I wanted to share with you a sound file from our rehearsal (we are called so far "International Men Of Mystery") recorded with a Tascam? recorder (I am not sure what it is, but it's a small portable unit).
It's the first and only take, and you will hear mistakes, but I believe the guitar sound is strangely close to Hank's original 9if you use good heaphones), not the playing unfortunately.
This is not the studio. but a tiny rehearsal room, we didn't even know the drummer had pushed the recording button on his recorder.
I didn't put the rest of the tune because of mistakes and unscheduled stops.

Hope you find it interesting.

Blessings,
Abel

All things taken into consideration, it is a good sound Abel, even though I havent listened to it through headphones..... thank you for posting it, I hope other members will find it interesting too. :)

For a casual and unprepared recording, that's a remarkably authentic sound on my headphones - I'd like to hear more.
What equipment's being used for the lead part?
Regards,
Martyn

Glad you liked it.

I hope the studio recording will come up better and that we don't make mistakes and do to many takes.

Martyn,

I am using my Mexican Strat 50 Classi fitted with 57/62 pups ---->MagiStomp -------> an old used DOD EQ pedal ------>Ariab to
what looks like a Fender Deville 4x10 amp, but brown color, it's the rhythm guitarist amp, I didn't pay attention to the model.

Lesley,

I just realized you may be Ade's wife (are you?). The community lost a dear friend and a very knowledgeable musician.
May his soul rest in peace.

Blessings,
Abel
