Replacing valve in Vox AD30VT

Postby PGibson » 06 Mar 2010, 18:53

It looks like I need to replace the 12AX7 valve in my Vox AD30VT amp, something I have not had to do before. Looking at what is on offer at Watford Valves I see there is quite a choice of 12AX7 valves. Will they all fit? Can anyone guide me towards a suitable replacement?

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

I decided to replace the valves in my AD120VT a couple of years back to match the ones (Slovtek) that were fitted. The reason was its a modelling amp and I think it best to stick with what the designers went for as its a fairly neutral mid gain valve and putting in a lower of higher gain valve would probably change the design characteristics of the modelled amps if that makes sense !

IMHO :)
