I had a listen and they sounded very good, but so do the pickups on all my Fender guitars, no difference to my ears - anyone else? :?

Hi Terry,
Prices are around £ 180 / £ 190 for a set, when you consider ordinary off the shelf mass produced Fender pickups for example are about £ 150 a set , i think these are excellent value for money , these are individual hand built tonal masterpieces by someone who has years of experience building / repairing / measuring original strat pickups , scatterwound with formvar wire just like Abigail did all those years ago but without the 50 years of wear and tear ! , if these had her name on like some of the limited runs Fender have done in the past they would cost the earth !, the last set of Abigail Ybarra Masterwounds i saw for sale was £ 700.00 ! just because they were wound by Abigail for Fender, These are built with only the finest components with various choices / options etc, a couple hundred quid is nothing when you consider what people pay for guitars and they have very little idea just exactly what the pickups are in them, the strat i am using in the demo is a bista for about £ 600.00 complete and it sounds just like an old pre cbs strat, i know i have owned / compared them,
Phil.

Hi Phil, I've always enjoyed your playing! This demo was sure proof of the sound you get, not only from the pickups but the total package of Guitar, Echo and that brilliant Vox, that's not even including the player!!
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers CC
