Thank you Martyn and Tony, for your very encouraging words, they mean everything to me!
Martyn, I don't really dabble in things unknown to me at the risk of fluffing in public and slide is no exception. I ve tried bottle necks, glass, solid chromed steel rod and they all work but the last thing I did was cut about 60mm off a 20mm chrome towel rail tube. This fits neatly on my ring finger and the rest is down to extremely frustrating practice. You can get some expert advice and lessons on youtube, after that it's all down to you!
