It was nice to see this documentary again the other night on BBC4. In the programme Neil cited The Shadows as being a really big influence in his early days. A relative of one of the band members had been sending them Shads' records from the U.K., which would be copied by the band. Subsequently they wrote their own Shadows-inspired tunes. A clip of the 'Crackerjack' F.B.I. was shown to accompany the topic.
