There's an easy to explain distinction between the first three colour musicals - "The Young Ones", "Summer Holiday" and "Wonderful Life" - on the one hand and "Finders Keepers" on the other.
The earlier films were made by Associated British Picture Corporation (ABPC), whose back-catalogue is now owned by the French-controlled Canal+. On first release, as with the previous film, "Expresso Bongo", they were shown (in the UK) at ABC theatres and then at independent theatres who tended to take ABC material.
"Finders Keepers", though, was made by United Artists and was shown at the Gaumont chain (then still operating in the UK).
Completely different ownership...
