Does anyone know if Phil K was using his Sliders pickups on this show? I can certainly detect a different sound ( or is it my old ears?)

I've only seen the videos - wonderful by the way, but his guitar does sound slightly different. Does anyone have a recording done with a stereo mic perhaps?
