I'm pleased to report that on the 28th the Princess Theatre Torquay was packed and the audience was very appreciative of a terrific show.

Jet along with all of the other performers gave a great performance and I have to agree with George regarding the thoroughly professional performance of the Wildcats who backed all of the performers. I had seen Neville Marten on guitar before, along with the bass player (whos name escapes me) but I have been unable to find the name of the other guitarist - can anyone help?
He was playing a Les Paul (wash my mouth out with soap & water!).

Dead right Phil! Marty has had the same line up of Wildcats for a number of years. Eddie is known as "Rocking Eddie!"
I remember talking to Roger just after they had done Marty's 50th Anniversary at the Paladium where Bruce, Hank Jet and Braian were all on stage together with the Wildcats. Roger said he had acheived a lifetime ambition - "playing with the Shadows!"

I was at the show, too. Roger told me afterwards that he can't stand British Rock 'n' Roll. I can't help thinking that he's in the wrong band. How sad, to think that a musician sees his work as merely a bearable routine.

In the hotel with Jet later in the evening, however, I was fortunate to chat with Eden, Roxy and Marty, who are all friendly and funny. Eden (or Rick, as he's known offstage), is particularly affable, with no hint of arrogance.

WARNING: Spoiler coming up...

The show was superb, with every performer being of high quality. The way Marty finished the show (albeit before the encore) was special, with the spotlight focussing in on Marty's J200 as he held it aloft.

Great show.
