Hi
Here are the pics all together,

My guess would be its Brian gregg .

All 3 Bass players mentioned, Heinz Burt, Tab martin & Brian Gregg at sometime played with the Tornados.
The Tornados backed Billy fury, Who Toured With Gene vincent & Jerry lee lewis
so its possible The Tornados Backed Gene vincent At Some point ?
Im sure Someone Will have all the correct answers.

Interesting. It shows how the fashion of the times, as ever, led to everybody looking the same!

I think we can conclude that it's definitely a Tornados bass player, and judging by the photos above, it looks like it could be either Heinz Burt or Brian Gregg . . . They both resemble our "mystery" bassist. If we only knew when the picture was taken, that could be a decisive clue :?

Just To throw a Spanner In the works
Sounds Incorporated Backed gene vincent On a tour of britain in 1961, due to the blue caps
being refused permission to work in the uk?

They also backed other Artist Touring Britain inc, little Richard, Sam Cooke, Brenda Lee, before becoming
Cilla Black's backing band in 1964.

Yes, but this does not mean that he is the guy in the picture. This guy is blonde, so it can't be Wes Hunter . . .

I backed Heinz for a couple of months in 1967 and it's definitely not him. It must be Brian Gregg because the photo of him in message 1 is the spit and image of the photo of him with Billy Fury and 'Tiny' (above).

Wes is top right. Pretty sure it's not him in the Vincent photo. My money is still on Brian gregg.
