Thanks Ecca and Ian :)
Actually it looks almost like a red Strat, doesn't it? But it's a sunburst. I'm getting better but don't seem to get much volume out of the palm muting on the high E string. Is that referred to as the 1st or 6th? So much to learn!
Best wishes

Hi Rosemary, the 1st is the thinnest 'E', when palm muting try to use the fleshy part of palm (inline with little finger) and rest it on the strings where they pass over the saddles(bridge) don't worry about holding the trem and try not to move palm towards the bridge p-up, also strike the strings a little harder to increase volume.

If in doubt Rosemary then do as Keith does........ hit the nearest string.

Rosemary....the 10 gauge stringset you're using should be good for you.
Palm muting is tuffer on the bridges that have the screws poking out of the string saddles which you likely have. It takes a fair amount of practice, but you'll "get there." ;)

Hi Keith, Walt and Ecca
Thanks for your help and clarification of string numbering. Sometimes I get the palm muting right and sometimes not but it seems to be improving (not in my latest upload though). Also I must remember not to stop in surprise when I do get it right as it puts my timing off. Getting hold of the trem bar again also seems to be a skill in itself.
Ecca: I can't believe that's not a real mo!
Best wishes
