Go To Pieces

Postby Rjanuarsa » 03 Feb 2011, 17:24

Hi all,

Just for fun I recorded this Go To Pieces by Peter and Gordon. It is not an instrumental because I sang it, I really love this tune  i recorded all the tracks including the backing vocals. Well, I hope you like it.

Robby,
That is a super recording - congratulations.
Peter and Gordon were one of my favourite groups of the 60's and let's not forget Del Shannon who wrote the song.
Keep the soundfiles coming!
Cheers,
JB

Thanks so much John.

They are too become one of my favourites, I just discovered them not so long ago. I also like the fact that some of their songs were written by Lennon-McCartney.

Thanks for listening to the sound file.

And the guy sings too!

Robby, one of them (Peter or Gordon, I don´t remember now) was the brother of Paul McCartney´s girlfriend in those days.

Good job

Hi Pancho,

Yeah a little bit of singing for a change, I hope I didn't embarrass myself

Interesting story about Paul's girlfriend there, so much for a Beatle-connection eh :)

Thanks for listening.

Hi Robby,
You've done a great job, it sounds remarkably like the original even the vocals sound like P & G.
I hadn't heard this one for years so I looked it up on youtube to remind myself.
Your recording sounds just right for the era when the original was made.
Great job   - Phil

You are a really talented guy Robby!! Your version is how I imagine the Shadows would sound if they did a cover version of this great song.

Congrats !!!
