Thanks everyone. Now....I knew I would miss someone off my self - compiled lists! Barry Gibson!!!! Sorry Barry. Barry who has done an enormous amount at past Shadowmanias and with Burns guitars. Plus....of course, the brilliant Local Heroes CDs. Superb recordings - with Vol.1 featuring Jet, Alan Jones & Clem Cattini amongst others. Plus Howard Gillespie from the splendid Oasis music - another Shads / Jet Stalwart to say the least. My apologies guys.

Thanks for your write up Rob, I was thinking about Jet yesterday.
Good to see nearly all of The Shadows were there.

Thank you, Rob. As I said, I always feel better knowing you're covering things for us who can only be there in spirit. Loved your perspective on your preparation, the music, the mourners. Well done.

With c.300 people there and limited time, opportunity etc., etc. It was always going to be impossible to see everyone. Although I didn't see them / meet them myself I am reliably informed that both Claudine Lordan and Tony Meehan's widow (sounds awful, I know, and her christian name has escaped my memory) were at Jet's funeral yesterday. Again, Janet was very moved that they were there to pay their respects to Jet. I know that all of the comments from fans all over the world have been of great comfort to her.

Bests....Rob

Thank you Rob. My thoughts were full of Jet and his family and friends yesterday, it's heart warming to know it all went so well and he had so many caring people there. Thanks for sharing, it means so much.

RIP Jet

Just found out from a R'n'R site that Matchbox's Graham Fenton and Tich Amey of DDDBMT fame were also amongst the mourners yesterday.

Hi Rob,

I think the French chap was Matilda's dad/manager. He was parked next to me and I knew his face but couldn't remember until now.

It was a fitting display of family and friends for a man that will be sorely missed.

As we exited the chapel Jet & Tony's Diamonds was played over the PA and that's when it really hits you, it's always the music that does it for me.

RIP dear Jet
